From the family home to solitude
His church Life connects him with Osiče and a prosperous family. He chooses monastic life and solitude. An account of helping a herdsman and a sick flock is among the miracles through which the tradition portrays his compassion.
The monastery as a literary centre
The study of Lesnovo Monastery’s thousand-year spiritual tradition also considers its literary heritage. It extends the view beyond the saint’s Life to a community, manuscripts and church history.
How his likeness is remembered
The portrait on this page is a fresco likeness.
