What mirror hours mean

Mirror hours are the moments when the hour and the minutes on the clock match, for example 11:11 or 22:22. In clock divination each of these 24 hours has its own interpretation, by its digits and by its place in the day. Other times read the same backwards, like 12:21; there are 16 of them, and three are of both kinds.

The meaning of every hour

The day as a clock face: the points are the mirror hours, the rings the times that read the same backwards. Each hour below opens its page in Bulgarian

The tradition

How they are read in the tradition

In clock divination an hour is read by its digits, like angel numbers. 11:11 is made of four ones and is linked with beginnings and will; 22:22 holds the master number 22. The two master numbers have their own pages: 11 and 22.

The place of the hour in the day matters too. 00:00 closes one day and opens the next, so the tradition reads it as a zero point: new beginnings and a fresh perspective.

Mirror hours do not come more often than other times: each falls once a day. According to Carl Jung, synchronicity is a coincidence a person experiences as meaningful, although there is no causal link between the events.

  1. Stop

Write down what you were thinking about the moment you saw the hour.

  2. Read

Check the meaning of the exact hour in the list of the mirror hours.

  3. Weigh

Think about which part of the interpretation concerns your thought. At 11:11 the tradition advises making a wish.

The difference

Mirror hours and angel numbers

A mirror hour is a moment of the day and comes once a day. An angel number is a sequence of digits that can be seen anywhere, for example on a licence plate or a receipt. Both are read by their digits, so 11:11 and 1111 have close meanings.

Questions

How many mirror hours are there in a day?

24, from 00:00 to 23:23: one in every hour, when the minutes repeat the hour.

What is the difference between a mirror hour and a time that reads the same backwards?

A mirror hour repeats the hour in the minutes, like 14:14; the other reads the same backwards, like 14:41. There are 16 times of the second kind in a day, and 00:00, 11:11 and 22:22 are of both kinds.

Is 11:11 stronger than the other mirror hours?

The tradition sets 11:11 apart from the other hours, because 11 is a master number in numerology. What 11 means is on the page of the number 11.

What is synchronicity (according to Carl Jung)?

According to Carl Jung, synchronicity is a coincidence a person experiences as meaningful, without a causal link between the two events.
