Discover love compatibility by zodiac sign, understand your romantic style and find the ideal partner. Personalized love predictions for all 12 zodiac signs.
You read that your two signs “match”. And still, every third conversation somehow lands in the same place. You feel it as a wall, he calls it drama. No couple’s love horoscope ever told you why the two of you specifically.
There’s a reason you’re confused. “Compatible by sign” compares one thing: your Sun sign against his. But in a birth chart the Sun is only one of seven planets astrology reads when it looks at a relationship. That’s why two “perfect matches by sign” can pull against each other for months, while two “incompatible” signs fit without effort.
Your Sun sign shows your basic disposition. But the argument rarely comes from there. It shows up in how each of you feels (the Moon), how you argue (Mercury), what each of you calls love (Venus) and where desire meets stubbornness (Mars). A general horoscope by sign sees none of this; it speaks to twelve groups of people at once.
Below we explain what one chart against another actually compares, and why that is a different conversation from “Leo and Aquarius don’t match”. If you just want a quick sense right now, check compatibility by sign below. Keep the expectation realistic: it is the first layer, not the whole story.

When you compare two birth charts, you are not looking at two signs. You are looking at the positions of seven planets in one person against the seven in the other: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. That makes about 49 meetings between the two charts (7 by 7). “Compatible by Sun sign” is only one of those 49: Sun against Sun.
The positions are not made up. They are calculated from a real astronomical ephemeris for the exact date, time and place of birth, the same standard professional astrology software uses.
Each meeting sits at a certain angle, and the angle matters. Harmonic angles (trine around 120°, sextile around 60°) describe places where the two energies flow easily toward each other. Challenging ones (square around 90°, opposition around 180°) describe places where they pull. The conjunction (around 0°) merges the two: sometimes strength, sometimes too much of one thing.
These angles count within a few degrees (orbs of 6 to 8°), not to the second. You do not need an observatory.
Here is what usually sits behind the recurring argument: it rarely reads from the Sun. More often it is an angle between other planets, say one person’s Moon against the other’s Mars. The Moon is emotional need; Mars is drive and desire. When there is a square between them, the chart reflects where one person’s tenderness and the other’s push cross.
We will say it plainly: that angle does not cause your argument. It gives it a name. The chart describes a dynamic, not a fate; it hands you language for something you already feel, so you can talk about it instead of repeating it.
The exact birth time helps, if you know it. Not because of “angles” or the ascendant, but because the Moon moves fast (about half a degree an hour), and the Moon is exactly the emotional need so often at the center of the friction. If you do not know it, it still works; only the Moon part stays more approximate.

A love horoscope is a specialized astrological forecast focused on romantic life and relationships. It analyzes the position of Venus (the planet of love), Mars (the planet of passion) and the 7th house (the house of partnerships) in your natal chart.
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius - Passionate and spontaneous in love. They love adventure and romance.
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn - Stable and devoted. They value security and long-term relationships.
Gemini, Libra, Aquarius - Intellectual and communicative. They seek mental connection.
Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces - Emotional and intuitive. They seek deep soul connection.
A love horoscope looks at the romantic side of your zodiac sign: how you love, which signs suit you, and what to expect in relationships. It combines your sign’s character with the astrological compatibility between signs.
Compatibility is built mainly on the elements (fire, earth, air, water) and the aspects between signs. Signs of the same element get along easily, while some opposites attract. The matrix above shows an indicative percentage for each pair.
Classic strong pairs include Aries–Leo, Taurus–Virgo, Gemini–Libra and Cancer–Scorpio. But the percentage is only a starting point — a real relationship depends on both full natal charts.
It doesn’t give a date. Rather, it shows periods favorable for new encounters and what type of partner resonates with you. For precise timing based on your birth chart, see a personal reading.
Both. Singles use it to understand the partner they’re looking for; couples use it to see the strengths and weak spots of the relationship. For a deep analysis of a specific pair, use synastry.
Because friction rarely comes from the Sun. It usually shows in an angle between other planets, say one person’s Moon against the other’s Mars. The angle names something you already feel; it does not cause it.
No. It describes the relationship’s dynamic and gives you language for it. The decisions are yours.
