Pythagoras Square: the numerology matrix by date of birth
The Pythagoras square is a 3 by 3 table of the digits 1 to 9, built from the date of birth and four working numbers. Each cell shows how many times its digit appears. Example: for 15 March 1990 the working numbers are 28, 10, 26 and 8, and the digit 1 appears three times.
The method
How the square is calculated
Example: 15.03.1990.
The digits of the date
The date is written in digits and the zeros are dropped: 1, 5, 3, 1, 9 and 9 remain.
The first and the second working number
The first is the sum of the digits: 1 + 5 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 9 = 28. The second is the sum of the digits of the first: 2 + 8 = 10.
The third and the fourth
The third is the first minus twice the first digit of the day: 28 − 2 × 1 = 26. The fourth is the sum of the digits of the third: 2 + 6 = 8.
The count of the digits
Each digit from 1 to 9 is counted in the date and in the four numbers, without the zeros: 1 three times, 2 twice, 3 once, 5 once, 6 once, 8 twice, 9 twice; 4 and 7 do not appear.
The cells
Each digit goes into its cell, as many times as it appears. The columns are 1, 2, 3; 4, 5, 6 and 7, 8, 9.
The reading
How to read the matrix
The tradition reads each cell by how many times its digit is in it, and each line by the sum of its three cells. The names of the cells and the lines come from the tradition.
The cells: 1 character, 2 energy, 3 interest, 4 health, 5 intuition, 6 work, 7 luck, 8 duty and 9 memory. A cell is empty at 0, weak at 1, normal at 2, strong at 3 or 4, very strong at 5 or more.
A line is weak with a sum of 0 to 2, normal with a sum of 3 or 4, strong with a sum of 5 or 6, very strong with a sum of 7 or more.
The cell “Health” is a name from the tradition. It says nothing about a person’s real health.
| Line | Cells | Kind |

How is the Square of Pythagoras calculated?
Four working numbers are worked out from the digits of the date of birth, then each digit from 1 to 9 is counted in the date and in them. For 15.03.1990 the working numbers are 28, 10, 26 and 8.
What do the rows, columns and diagonals show?
Purpose (1, 4, 7), family (2, 5, 8), stability (3, 6, 9) are the rows; self-esteem (1, 2, 3), home and everyday life (4, 5, 6), talent (7, 8, 9) are the columns; temperament (1, 5, 9) and spirituality (3, 5, 7) are the diagonals. The names come from the tradition.
How is it different from the Life Path number?
The life path number is one number from the date. The square shows how many times each digit appears, and so gives 9 cells and 8 lines.
