Amethyst
Amethyst is violet quartz, linked in spiritual practice with contemplation and intuition. Careful storage and cleaning keep its color and condition. Amethyst occurs as crystal clusters, individual specimens and fashioned gems. Violet color can be uneven; an attractive hue alone does not establish origin or value.

Cleaning: warm soapy water suits ordinary amethyst. Follow the seller’s guidance for dyed, filled or glued specimens.
Light and heat: avoid strong heat and prolonged intense light. Fading and damage are possible.
