Electional astrology: choosing a time and its limits
Define an event, compare feasible times and record the astrological method used.
What exactly begins
Electional astrology considers a chosen moment for a planned action. Specify whether the event begins when a door opens, a ceremony starts or a publication goes live. Different definitions yield different times for the same event.
First establish feasible options
List genuinely available dates and times, the location and time zones. Then name the factors being compared: Moon, aspects, angles or rulers. Avoid changing criteria merely to justify an already preferred time.
An example of a transparent choice
An exhibition has two available opening times. The team chooses the one that allows setup and guest access, then may add a symbolic astrological reading. Record practical reasons separately. The chart does not guarantee attendance or success.
