One word, different meanings
In everyday speech, “energy” may mean mood or a sense of vitality. In physics it has measurable definitions and units. Do not move between these meanings as though a personal impression were a field measurement.
Ask how the measurement is made
For a claim about a field, ask which quantity is measured, with what instrument and under which conditions. If only a sensation is described, it can be discussed as an experience. It does not automatically follow that the sensation reveals future events.
What the particular source says
NCCIH states that there is no scientific evidence for the energy field proposed in Reiki. This is a specific statement about a particular practice, not a reason to deny actual electromagnetic fields in physics.
