Dates are approximate. Near a boundary, calculate the Sun’s longitude for the year, birth time and time zone. The tropical signs are equal sectors beginning at the March equinox, not the unequal boundaries of astronomical constellations.

How the symbolism is used
Virgo is the sixth sector of the tropical zodiac. Mutable earth is used for distinguishing details, revising and adapting a practical process. This is a symbolic theme, not a requirement to be flawless.
The sign does not determine health or profession. Mercury links Virgo and Gemini through traditional rulership, but their elements differ.
A placement in a constructed chart
A placement at 20° Virgo has a longitude of 170°. In equal houses from a 15° Gemini Ascendant it falls in house four. If the body is Mercury, a sample question concerns clarifying tasks and arrangements at home.
