Solitude and what lies outside direct control
The twelfth house has different historical and modern readings, from constraints and hidden circumstances to solitude and withdrawal from public routines. Name the school, especially when it uses severe descriptions.
Read the cusp and its ruler
Find the cusp and its ruler. For Taurus, that is Venus. Neptune has a modern association with Pisces but is not automatically the ruler of every twelfth house.

The starting cusp belongs to this house; the next cusp belongs to the following house. Numbering continues across 360° back to 0°. A different house system may assign the same planetary position to a different house.
